Peaks Island is in Casco Bay about 4 miles off the coast of Portland. It's 4 miles in circumference and has about 1,000 full-time residents. It has a single general store, about 5 restaurants, and 2 coffee shops.
I visited Peaks Island, Maine, when I started dating my wife back in 2013. Her mother has been going to Peaks since the 1950s. I grew up on the island Marathon in the Florida Keys, so having the pleasure of taking my family here every summer to experience island life means a lot to me. Peaks is my favorite place to be and I hopefully will get to retire on this little island.
